Abstract

The authors report the values of total serum bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase and transaminase (SGOT and SGPT) activity in a group of 1,064 pregnant women and in a group of 45 hepatogestosic women. The data are more or less similar to those reported in the literature. However the most important data are represented by the fact that humoral indices of hepatic function are the same in the hepatogestosic patients and in normal pregnant women until week 31; while from week 32, the alkaline phosphatase increases more in hepatogestosic pregnant women than in normal pregnant ones.
