Abstract
ESES (Electrical Status Epilepticus during Sleep) is a pathological neurophysiological phenomenon characterised by a pattern of Continuous Spike and Wave during Slow Sleep. It has been described a positive effect of Sultiame and Acetazolamide on epileptic Syndromes associated with ESES, such as Atypical Benign Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes and CSWS Syndrome. This study presents the preliminary results of six clinical cases treated with AZM considering the electro-clinical and neuropsychological criterion.
