We report the case of a two and a half-year old female baby presenting with menarche and a bone age comparable to 5 years of age. The MRI examination detected a small mass in the centre of hypothalamus behind the pituitary stalk. The typical findings and the lack of signal enhancement with contrast medium strongly suggested a diagnosis of tuber cinereum hamartoma.
