Abstract
The UICC has developed a Postgraduate Course in Clinical Cancer Chemotherapy which, although essentially a standard basic training activity, is sufficiently flexible and modular in structure that it can be adopted to the educational needs of most countries or regions. The UICC has also obtained the generous collaboration of over a hundred medical oncology experts in some 20 different countries who have expressed their willingness to join the teaching faculties for these Courses. The aim of the present paper is to illustrate the didactic approach and summarize initial experience gained with the four Courses held so far outside Europe.
