Abstract

We describe a patient displaying frequent elementary partial seizures characterized by forced grasping of the left hand. The ictal EEG showed a discharge maximum on the vertex and right central regions. The MRI disclosed a lesion localized over the right frontal mesial cortex. We suggest that unilateral forced grasping may be a rare symptom of epileptic seizures originating from the mesial frontal structures.
