Abstract
The effectiveness of percutaneous radiofrequency (RF) thermal ablation after occlusion of tumor arterial supply in the treatment on unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is evaluated. Eighty-two conscious cirrhotic patients with single HCC underwent RF procedure after occlusion of the tumor arterial supply. Findings at the contrast enhanced computerized tomography were used to establish the outcome of the therapy.
