Abstract

Adrenal scintigraphy with 75Se-selenomethylcholesterol was performed in a male patient bearing a left adrenal tumor which apparently did not have hormonal activity. The tumor was able to concentrate radiocholesterol and was well delineated by scintigraphy. The present case demonstrated that adrenocortical tumors can concentrate radiocholesterol even in the virtual absence of hormone production.
