Use of DNA probe in paternity determination

Abstract

The VNTR probe YNH24 has been tested in 60 individuals from the Italian population, and the expected heterozygote frequency has so far been obtained. This probe, and the probe AW1O1, have been utilized for paternity testing, identifying the putative father with an accuracy of 99.4%.
