Abstract

The clinical utility of spiral CT and color Doppler ultrasound (CDU) in the portal and mesenteric vein involvement by pancreatic tumor are evaluated. The results show that the spiral CT and CDU are useful in detecting involvement of portal-mesenteric vein, especially if they are performed together. These techniques improve the possibility to predict the resectability of pancreatic tumors.
