Abstract
VISINT, a user usable interface based on visual language, is proposed. It will allow a physician, who is not a computer expert, to properly navigate through a simulation system. The requirements and constraints to be satisfied in its design are analyzed. An experiment in the design implementation and use of the visual interface is discussed. The necessity for an interdisciplinary approach in the design of effective tools is emphasized.
