The authors relate their experience of 10 cases of vulval hirsute papillomatosis (PIV) which were analysed from a clinical, histological and virological point of view. PIV is an anatomic variation of the lower tract of the female genitalia. Such a condition does not seem to be due to an infection of papillomavirus (microcondylomata).
